Castel

On Saturday we went to Castel at my request. I had never been there and always wanted to go. Castel is a site where fierce fighting took place in April, 1948. It is off the main road from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and its location and altitude made it a strategic location to hold in order to keep the road open for supplies. This picture was taken from the top. You can just see Jonathan & David coming up the path.
